After attending the Air Force Academy, I proudly served on active duty as an F-16 pilot for 8 years followed by 7 years in the Air Force Reserve. Married for 43 years, we split our time between Marietta, Georgia and Monument, Colorado. Traveling and chasing our kids and grandkids is mostly what we do now. I loved Los Al, especially playing water polo with my buddies.  

Rick and I didn't go far from Los Al, we live in Seal Beach (College Park East) We are both retired, and Rick plays golf all the time. Ha. We love spending time with our kids and Weston, our grandchild.  

 I loved the 3 years I spent at Los Al. Coming to LAHS as a military brat meant that I didn’t always have a permanent home, but I found one at LAHS. My best times were spent with friends whose families opened their doors and hearts to me—a kindness I truly cherished. I will always be grateful to the Reading, Merrill, Rivaldo, Allen, Dyer, and Winkler families for making me feel so welcome. High school was a family affair for us, too; my mom, Bernice Fox, taught English Literature at LAHS during my senior year and was a dedicated volunteer at water polo games and swim meets. My academic path was sparked right there in the classroom, taking Fortran and COBOL programming on the school’s IBM 360. That early exposure launched a coding career that spanned over 50 years until my retirement. Looking back after 50 years, life has come full circle. Today, I have a son currently serving in the military overseas. I am really looking forward to reconnecting with everyone and celebrating our 50th year milestone. 

I live in Yakima, WA, where the cost of living is affordable and I get to enjoy all 4 seasons of the year. The Yakima Valley is known for its fruit orchards, hop fields and wine vineyards. With over 120 wineries and tasting rooms one of my favorite activities with friends is wine tasting. Much of the wine produced here rivals those from Napa, Sonoma and are becoming recognized worldwide.

I also enjoy traveling and exploring the diversity of Washington state. Since retiring I’m loving living alone and having the freedom to live the life I choose.

I got my degree in biology from UC Santa Barbara and went off to be an Alaskan.  I worked at a bunch of Alaskan fisheries jobs starting as a NOAA observer, and later as a U. S. Fishermen’s Joint Venture Representative, at-sea on Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese, & Polish factory trawl processors in the Bering Sea & Gulf of Alaska.   

I was also a fisheries biologist for the Alaska Department of Fish & Game on remote salmon projects around the state for a couple years.  I was a crewman one season on a halibut longliner. I became a flight instructor and was teaching people to fly airplanes around the time of the Exxon Valdez oil spill.  

I later earned my retirement with 20 years as an Alaska fish cop - NOAA Deputy Special Agent-in-charge of Alaska.  I investigated high profile international fish fraud cases.  I also got to represent the U.S. in fishery treaties, traveling to Japan, Korea, Canada & Russian far east.  

Living now in Alaska. Traveling, fishing, birdwatching & caregiving in retirement.  

Never married.  No children (that have been reported to me).  Still waiting to hear from Lisa Kisner.  She could have had the Dalmatian.

I live in Huntington Beach with my beautiful wife of 28 years, Jackie, who is the best person I have ever known.  We have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.  I retired as a sergeant from the Los Angeles Police Department after 29 years of service and know that I had a phenomenal career.  Jackie is also retired from LAPD where she was a specialized detective and of course out ranked me.🤣

Participating in sports has always been my life and passion.  There are many different types of Police and Fire Olympics and other sporting competitions, which allowed me to travel to many different states and countries while successfully participating in racquetball, softball and golf tournaments.  I'm still competing in racquetball and golf and get to enjoy both of them as a daily activity.  Trying to never stop moving!!!

Jackie and I have been lucky enough to have traveled to so many different places and countries where our vacations are usually built around hiking.  If you haven't been to Newfoundland, we highly recommend it.

If anyone had told me in 1976 that I would get to live the life I have, be married to Jackie, have great children, and retire at age 51 with great health to play my passions every day, I would have said, "That sounds like a life for someone else."  I am the most fortunate man I know, and I am humbled by the events and people that have made my dream life possible.

I am not faithful or in any way a religious person, but I have tried to live my life so that people don't have to lie during my eulogy. Everyone stay safe and what a ride the past 50 years has been.

 I live in Stillwater, OK with my wonderful husband of 19 years. I have three children and 9 grandchildren. I volunteer at Our Daily Bread and work for Cornerstone Caregiving. 

 Hello all!, I live in Carlsbad Ca. And have 4 boys and 1 girl here in North County. All of this kids and grands still live in the area and to say the least it can be one crazy get together! I am still doing hair after 44 years and trying to get in some traveling . God is good and I have been blessed with faith, family, and friends 

Hello everyone, It’s hard to believe we’re gathering for our 50-year reunion. Just thinking about it brings back so many memories, and I’m truly looking forward to reconnecting with all of you. I’m writing from Fort Collins, Colorado, where I live with my wife of 17 years. Looking back, I’ve definitely taken the scenic route when it comes to careers—and I’ve genuinely enjoyed every twist and turn along the way. I started out as a youth minister, then joined the California Air National Guard while returning to school to become a physical therapist. A few years later, curiosity led me back again for an MBA and a Master’s in Information Systems. These days, I work for a healthcare software company, where I get to blend my clinical background with technology by helping ensure developers build tools that truly support physical therapists in their work. It’s been a rewarding way to connect the different chapters of my career. My wife and I have moved around a bit over the years as life and work took us in new directions, but Colorado always seems to welcome us back home. As I think about all the years since we graduated, I find myself especially excited to hear your stories, share a few of my own, and reconnect with the people and memories that made those early years so special.

Dale and I dated for a couple of years around 1980. We then went our separate ways, marrying other people, etc. However, we got together again after 35+ years! We did the long-distance thing for a while, but Dale eventually joined me in Utah (where I have lived for close to 40 years) in 2013. We got engaged when we were in town for the 40th reunion and are about to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Dale was a professional painter for many years. Vicki worked at a local technical college as an executive assistant for over 30 years. Now we are loving every minute of the retired life. Dale has a son who lives in SoCal. I have enjoyed having lots of pets rather than children. Besides cats and dogs, I got back into horses and have owned a horse and been riding again since 1996. We will miss seeing our old classmates and reminiscing. Wishing everyone a fun reunion and a continued wonderful life! 

I now live in Anaheim. I was married for 40 years to my soulmate. Early in our marriage, we moved to Connecticut for three years because of a job transfer. We made some great memories there. After that, we moved to Mission Viejo, where we raised our two sons, Jeffrey and Ryan. They both played baseball and football for Mission Viejo High School.

We had a great 25 years together there. Then my husband was diagnosed with cancer, and everything changed. After surgery, he wasn’t able to continue traveling back and forth to New York for his work as a financial advisor. So, we sold our dream home in Mission Viejo and moved to Anaheim.

We purchased land, built an Oggi’s restaurant, and had so much fun designing our place. It was fabulous! We became number one in the chain, and both of my boys worked with us. My oldest son, Jeffrey, had joined the Marines, and when his time in the service was over, he came to work with us as our restaurant manager and later became the bar manager. My youngest son, Ryan, was also a manager.

My husband and I loved to travel. One especially memorable trip was visiting our Los Al classmate Karen Kenady, who lives in France. On another trip, after my husband was diagnosed, we spent two weeks in a villa in Tuscany and saw as much of Italy as we possibly could! We also loved hiking and kayaking, and for much of our marriage, we vacationed in Kauai. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary there and renewed our vows, with both of my sons giving me away. What a memory that was, and one I will never forget.

My husband’s cancer came back, and sadly, it got the best of him. He passed away in 2018, and I’ve been trying to do this life by myself ever since. He was my everything, my happily ever after. It’s been a long road, but I am enjoying my life again.

I still keep in touch with several friends from Los Al, including Nancy Komer, Jinx, Kim Foerster, Karen Kenady, and others. We try to get together for Happy Hour whenever we can. Karen and I still talk every week, and our conversations usually include what wine they're drinking and what food they're cooking. Typical Frenchies!

My high school friends were the best. Growing up, I moved every three years, so I missed out on having the opportunity to make lasting friendships. I will always be grateful for my time at Los Al and for the friends I made there.

Today, I have a home in Anaheim and a golden retriever whom I absolutely adore. My two huskies recently passed away, and I miss them very much.

It’s been a great life, and I look forward to many more adventures. I’m so thankful for Los Al, for all my friends, and for the memories I’ve made. I can’t wait to see everyone at the reunion. It should be a blast!

  Hi All! My husband of 32 years and I just recently retired from the Ranch life! We traded in the acreage, horses and Chickens for life in an actual subdivision in a bigger mountain town! We are still in the Architecture business along with overseeing North America for the 2=1 International Marriage Ministry. We get to travel with the ministry strengthening marriages We have had 5 Amazing grown children (lost our oldest son in a motorcycle accident) 13 beautiful grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild! 

I am currently retired from the Aerospace industry after 35 years. Living in Northern Arizona with my wife, also for 35 years. I served in the Navy from 1976 until 1982. I started out as a crash and rescue firefighter and was honorably discharged as an aviation electrician mate 3rd class petty officer. I have 3 adult children living in socal area. After 18 years on the C17 program at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing, I worked at various aerospace companies and retired from Aerojet Rocketdyne. I helped restart the engines for the current moon launch vehicles Artemis program. My retirement passion is cycling, road and mountain. 

 After four years of college followed by three years of being a full-time sailboat racer, I returned to Alamitos Bay / Seal Beach / Long Beach (and have been lucky enough to run across many of you out and about lo these past five decades). Haven’t strayed from the business of boating with a few exceptions. (If I stayed ashore I might feel washed up)?? Pam and I met in 1987 and have been married since Leap Year’s Day 1992. Our oldest, Elle, married Doug (both Los Al grads) and have two young daughters living freeway close down south. Elle is a radiant blooming florist, Doug surfs and flys commercial jets. Son Jonn is also a Griffin and lives in Cypress and comes over to see us often - he likes VR and playing vinyl records. Fourth golden retriever enjoys our tropical backyard (especially the pool, fanatically with a tennis ball)., Pam’s dad and my mom recently joined us for a Montana rodeo vacation. My career continues as a yacht broker involved with trawlers (power boats). My clients are typically retirees of our spirit and age - enjoying active travel afloat. Happy we all have a chance to check in again as we page through another chapter together I am a serial music hound and hope my hearing holds and eyes don’t fade as the gray settles in. I graduated from Cal Poly SLO. The majority of my career I was the Director of Human Resources for the Los Angeles Hilton in downtown LA. After doing the grind of driving from Orange County to LA for 5 years, we moved to Indiana where I was a stay-at-home mom. We had horses and I was living the dream. It was fun! 

We then moved to Phoenix, Arizona. While my kids were in school, I became a middle school science teacher and then taught Special Ed. Once they were off to college, I retired as a teacher and became a travel agent. Luckily, my husband Rob and I have been able to travel pretty extensively. His job moved us once again, and we ended up in Florida. After surviving two hurricanes, I said enough and we bought a second home in Sterling Ranch Colorado. The ultimate goal is to summer in Colorado where my daughter lives, and winter in Phoenix where my son lives. I'm still hoping for grandchildren someday, that could determine where we land permanently haha.

 Leslie Nitikman (now Leslie Sokolow): I’ve had a circuitous path through life; studied tropical zoology in grad school, conducted field research in Panamá and central Brazil.  I gave it up for normalcy.  Soon after, I met my husband and we moved to Atlanta. Two amazing daughters were born there. Lastly I worked at the CDC as an epidemiologist. I retired just before  Covid appeared and moved back to Southern California to be closer to family. We  have two young grandkids on the East Coast, so we are bicoastal. Life has been good to me.      .   

I live in Costa Mesa. I have one son. Celebrating 48 years in the insurance industry. I love hanging out at the beach riding my bike around the neighborhood – I love a good dirty martini and still love to dance      .   

Living the good life in Paso Robles wine country, where I still do freelance communications work, paint watercolors, camp among the big trees, and rack up plenty of miles walking the beautiful Central Coast. I’m passionate about the elephant seals along our coastline and serve as a trustee for our local library. Along with fostering Cavalier dogs, I have one of my own plus two little senior pups who came to us to live out their golden years. My son is in New York, my daughter and three grandkids are in LA, and I’ve been happily married to a chef for 20 years — which has definitely been a bonus in life. Still curious, still busy, and still grateful for good friends, good stories, and good wine.

 Hi from David Simon. I moved up to NorCal Bay Area in 1986 and stayed ever since. .   

I recently moved to Portland Oregon after 40 years living and working in Sydney Australia. Following Los Al I traveled to Easter Island, South America and spent a gap year in Australia (1978/79). I got an MBA from Azusa Pacific University. In 1986 I migrated to Australia where I became an Australian citizen in 1995. In the mid-90's I worked for a high profile independent Member of Parliament which led to a 30 year career in government and industry relations in highly regulated industries like agriculture, resources and transport. It has been an honor representing Australia's farming families, working with mine rescue and safety leaders, advocating for ports and transport policy, and eventually working in Australia's iconic wool industry.

In 2024 I called it a day, hung up my Akubra, moleskins and RMs, and retired. In March my partner and I packed our bags and started a new adventure. Our new base is Portland Oregon where we look forward to exploring the Pacific Northwest and travel throughout the US generally.   

Tell us about you! Live up in Greenbrae/Kentfield Ca. Made a career in international logistics. Daughter Tara lives in Austin TX with hubby Grey and daughter Rosalie. Looking forward to my next long range fishing trip out of San Diego and time up by MT Shasta.    

 Hi everyone! After high school I attended BYU where I met and married my husband, Randy. We moved back to Los Alamitos in 1984 and have been here ever since! All of our 9 children and our oldest granddaughter are Los Alamitos High graduates- we currently have a grandson who just started his junior year there. We have a total of 23 grandchildren who enjoy coming to beautiful Los Alamitos to visit us! I’m so grateful for my time at Los Al with all of you!   

In the 80's, my husband and I moved to a very small town in Oregon just over the California border.  There we enjoyed the great outdoors, woods, and many rivers and lakes.  We raised two kids who are now grown with kids of their own. We have sinced moved a bit north, and I am enjoying being a grandma to 3 young kids.

We have traveled, biked, hiked, and are very active in our local pickleball community.

 I have been married to my wife Julie for 45 years. We have 5 children, 7 grandchildren, and a great granddaughter. I worked in Aviation/Aerospace for over 40 years. I am currently enjoying my retirement. 2 of my grandchildren also graduated from Los Alamitos High School in 2019 and 2020. We are currently living in the Antelope Valley.
